  • MGM's Grande Praca showcased a "Butterfly Pavilion" beginning May 16. The pavilion is a dome-shaped eco-friendly habitat displaying 100 species of butterflies from different continents. The exhibition space was arranged together with Stephen Stefanou, a well-known American interior designer - not only the very "Butterfly Pavilion" worth seeing, but also the peripheral décor as to big pinwheel trees or willow-vine sculptures. The exhibition was assisted with Dr. Victor Yun Wu's (pictured with Dr. Yu on the left, second row) cooperation, a lepidopterist who presents China at butterfly conferences worldwide. Victor Yun Wu developed and now uses special techniques in artificial breeding of butterflies.

Dr. Yu has been interviewed and his photographs have been published in "DIGI Magazine Issues 256 (P.64) and 265 (P.76)" and "Photo & Camera Review Issue 416 (P.38)".

  • MGM has also organised a photo contest to encourage visitors to share their photos taken at the Pavilion and the winner could get free accommodation from the MGM Hotel.
